چکیده

The aim of this paper is to study the electro-mechanical coupling responses functionally graded (FG) piezoelectric cantilever nanobeam under concentrated load, and material properties follow an exponential distribution in thickness direction. constitutive equations are derived from electric Gibbs free energy density function. governing boundary conditions Euler–Bernoulli FG beam can be obtained by variational principle, then, analytical expressions for its deflection, polarization intensity, induced potential obtained. results show that flexoelectric effect has a significant impact on nanobeam.

Electromechanical coupling in piezoelectric nanobeams due to the flexoelectric effect

The flexoelectric effect is a coupling of polarization and strain gradient, which exists in a wide variety of materials and may lead to strong size-dependent properties at the nanoscale. Based on an extension to the classical beam model, this paper investigates the electromechanical coupling response of piezoelectric nanobeams with different electrical boundary conditions including the effect o...

Thermo-Electro-Mechanical Analysis of a Curved Functionally Graded Piezoelectric Actuator with Sandwich Structure

In this work, the problem of a curved functionally graded piezoelectric (FGP) actuator with sandwich structure under electrical and thermal loads is investigated. The middle layer in the sandwich structure is functionally graded with the piezoelectric coefficient g31 varying continuously along the radial direction of the curved actuator. Based on the theory of linear piezoelectricity, analytica...

Size Dependent Nonlinear Bending Analysis of a Flexoelectric Functionally Graded Nano-Plate Under Thermo-Electro-Mechanical Loads

The effects of flexoelectricity on thermo-electro-mechanical behavior of a functionally graded electro-piezo-flexoelectric nano-plate are investigated in this paper using flexoelectric modified and the Kirchhoff classic theories. Moreover, using the variation method and the principle of minimum potential energy for the first time, the coupled governing nonlinear differential equations of the na...

The Effect of Temperature Dependency on the Thermo-Electro-Elastic Analysis of Functionally Graded Piezoelectric Spherical Shell

Results of electro-thermo-elastic analysis of a functionally graded thick-walled spherical shell made of temperature dependent materials are presented in this article. All material properties are assumed temperature-dependent and also are graded along the thickness direction based on power function. Temperature dependency is accounted for all material properties including, thermal, mechanical a...

Vibration and Buckling Analysis of Functionally Graded Flexoelectric Smart Beam

In this paper, the buckling and vibration behaviour of functionally graded flexoelectric nanobeam is examined. The vibration and buckling formulations of functionally graded nanobeam are developed by using a new theory that’s presented exclusively for flexoelecteric nano-materials. So by considering Von-Karman strain and forming enthalpy equation based on displacement, polarization and electric...
